Neocate Splash Updates – FAQs for Healthcare Professionals

What is changing for Neocate® Splash?

Due to regular reviews of our Neocate Splash formulations, we have updated the sodium declaration from 50.0 mg/100 mL to 60.0 mg/100 mL on four of the Neocate Splash labels (unflavored, grape, tropical fruit, and orange-pineapple). Additionally, we have made other minor updates to the labels, such as the removal of “casein free”. Although you will see updates on the labels, there are NO changes to the actual formulation or ordering and reimbursement information.

Why has “casein free” been removed from the label?

In order to simplify our packaging, we decided to remove “casein free” from the label. However, casein is found in milk, and no ingredients used in any Neocate product are derived from dairy. On top of that, Neocate Splash is routinely tested to ensure there is no casein.

Is Neocate Splash casein free?

Yes. Casein is a protein found in milk, and no ingredients used in any Neocate product are derived from dairy. On top of that, Neocate Splash is routinely tested to ensure there is no casein.

Why did the sodium level in Neocate Splash change?

The amount or source of sodium in Neocate Splash has not changed. We updated our sodium declaration in unflavored, orange-pineapple, tropical fruit, and grape due to regular reviews of our Neocate Splash formulations.

Have the product codes changed?

No, the product codes are the same.

Will there be any change to taste, tolerance, or hypoallergenicity?

No, the formula has not changed and therefore there wouldn’t be any changes to palatability, tolerance, or hypoallergenicity.
