Neocate® Junior is the first and only hypoallergenic formula that is available with prebiotic fiber to help support digestive health. More than 55% of children do not meet their recommended fiber needs. Neocate Junior is specifically designed to address the growing nutritional and lifestyle needs of toddlers and older children. Directions for Preparation and Use:
The amount of Neocate to take should be determined by a healthcare professional and is dependent on the age, body weight and medical condition of the patient. Neocate® Junior provides complete or supplemental nutritional support for children over 1 year of age. Use under medical supervision. For oral and tube feeding only; not for parenteral use.
For oral or tube feeding:
- Measure the required amount of warm or cool water into a container.
- Add the prescribed amount of Neocate® Junior to the water.
- Stir, or cover and shake, until the powder has dissolved.
If taken orally, Neocate® Junior is best served chilled. Once feeding begins, use within 1 hour or discard.
The recommended standard dilution is 30 kcal/fl oz. This can be achieved by mixing 1 unpacked, level scoop of powder to each fluid ounce of water, as in the following table:

One can Unflavored (without prebiotics) makes approx. 64 fl oz; Vanilla and Strawberry approx. 63 fl oz; Chocolate approx. 61 fl oz.
If taken orally, Neocate® Junior is best served chilled. Once prepared, the formula should be stored in a refrigerator and kept no longer than 24 hours from the time of preparation. Shake or stir Neocate® Junior immediately before use. Discard formula left in cup or bottle 1 hour after feeding starts. Do not boil formula or use a microwave oven to prepare or warm formula.
Storage
Store unopened can at room temperature. Do not store at extreme temperatures. Once opened, reseal can and store in a cool, dry place (not in a refrigerator) and use within one month of opening.
