When private insurance does not cover Neocate, you might be covered under one of these additional resources:
The Women, Infants and Children Nutrition Program (WIC) is a government program designed to assist families with nutritional needs. Neocate is generally reimbursed by most state WIC programs on the basis of medical need when ordered by a physician. To find out if you are eligible to receive Neocate through your local WIC program, talk to your community health department. Learn more about WIC.
Each state establishes its own guidelines regarding medical foods and other nutritional products. To learn if you are eligible for coverage of Neocate through your state Medicaid office, contact your nearest community health department. Learn more about Medicaid.
Tricare is the healthcare program serving uniformed service members, retirees and their families. Neocate is reimbursed through Tricare on the basis of medical need when ordered by a physician. View the Tricare Nutritional Therapy chapter within their policy for more information.
We, the Neocate family, created this program to assist financially disadvantaged families in getting Neocate Infant formula when other forms of reimbursement assistance fall short. The program is available to legal residents of the United States who are not eligible for other forms of assistance and do not have third-party coverage for nutritional therapy. Find out if you are eligible, download and complete an application. For additional information, please contact 1-800-NEOCATE.
