Pepticate is an extensively hydrolyzed formula (eHF). Hydrolysis is a process in which the allergy-triggering proteins in cow milk are broken down to small peptides and free amino acids, the building blocks of protein. The proteins are carefully produced this way to ensure the formula can be tolerated by infants with CMPA.
